I started making these sort of... free association collages(?) earlier this year. I've been thinking a lot about AI "art" and how vapid it is, and figured I could create something way funnier, sillier, and more unique. It turned into just a fun way to fuck with my friends and make something that gets a big reaction from them, but I've also been rotating them as laptop backgrounds.

This piece was inspired by the artist's sibling-in-law, whose face is featured plastered across Edvard Munch's The Scream. It lovingly weaves references to nostalgia, inside jokes, and personal interests to create a truly unnerving, almost threatening aura directed towards the artist's lover. We may never know the intention behind this collage, but through tireless restoration projects, we have been able to piece together what we hope is a comprehensive list of images used.
